Phase 1: Requirements Document

Due to the complex nature of website development, creating a detailed document that identifies and defines the project requirements significantly improves the success of your project. As a result, this can be classified as the most important phase of your project.

The Requirements Document includes a detailed scope of the site, wire frames (blue prints) and it clearly lays out your needs and goals.

Once the requirements document is complete we will provide you with a detailed quote. We also recommend that you use the requirements document to solicit quotes from other firms. This will provide you with confidence that you will get exactly what you want.

Cost: $500 to $2,000 depending on project complexity. You have no further financial obligation should you choose to use a different firm.

Phase 2: Creative Design

Once you approve the budget we begin the design process. We absolutely require direction from you. Giving our designer complete creative freedom with no input from you does not work. Should you want multiple choices for logos and design, the cost can increase significantly. This is a key reason to have a detailed, well written requirements document that spells out exactly what you want and need.

Cost: $1,000 to $10,000 depending on how many people are involved in the design approval process. The logo alone can cost anywhere from $500 to $3,000 depending on how many choices you want and how many changes you request.

Phase 3: Development

Once you approve the design we begin developing your website. With the requirements document in hand this process requires little input from you.

All our websites are custom built on a Microsoft sever using an MS SQL database and ASP, javascript, jQuery, JSON and Ajax programming languages. We do not use the cheaper open source systems (Linux, MySQL or PHP) due to the inherent security holes of open source languages.

Costs: $500 to $3,000 per control or rich media development depending on complexity.

Phase 4: Testing and Soft Launch

Once the development phase is completed, the site must be completely tested. During development we test the site extensively, however, bugs are inevitable, so we recommend doing a �soft launch� of the site a full month prior to beginning your marketing campaign. During this time we ask that you review the site in detail to help us iron out any issues with the site. This phase is no cost to you as our commitment to you is an error free product. However, please note there are many browsers on the market and many visitors may still be on old, unsupported browsers. We cannot guarantee complete site functionality for browser versions that are more than two years old.

Phase 5: Marketing

Once you sign off that the site is complete, we begin the marketing phase. We are experts at online advertising and can tailor a package that meets your budget. Should you wish to include other marketing options such as newspapers and mail outs, we can provide you all the graphic design work for business cards, brochures, rack cards and any other printed materials you need. These services are typically provided at the end of the initial project launch and are billed on a monthly basis.

Costs: tailored to meet your budget, however we recommend a suitable budget proportionate to the size of the overall project. This can vary greatly depending on the specific details of your business but typically should range from 5-25% of overall build cost per annum and be part of the plan to successfully launch the site and achieve objectives. Project Timeline and Payment Requirements

Each phase should take approximate 30 to 60 days and requires a 30% down payment to get started. Should a phase take longer than 30 days, we will require additional interim payments. We require each phase to be fully paid prior to moving to the next phase.
