The owners of Bliss Bridal were an absolute treat to work with, and they tasked us with a rather large request... They needed a new brand, website, print material, and everything in between to reflect the ownership change and the very couture feel they have brought to their store... Excited is an understatement to how we felt starting this project!
The most important part of the Bliss Bridal website was to make an intuitive, easy to use, and nice looking photo gallery section to display their dress products. We feel it is the highlight of the site.
This is the first of three final logo concepts that the owners just loved... Unfortunately for this design... They chose to go with a more tame and timeless option.
Here is the final and selected logo design. We're happy with the outcome, but there were MANY strong options available that no longer have a home in the world.
Here's a brief glimpse at some of the printed material... Pop in and have a look at them in person for their full effect!
An experiment in going a darker more bold approach with the logo... Just one of many sample designs while working closely with these lovely clients.
Bliss Bridal has been a premiere dress store for brides to be (obviously!), upcoming graduates, bridesmaids, and women looking for a really special dress for a formal occasion in the Okanagan Valley. They recently went under an ownership change and were looking to modernize the business, and make it even more successful than it was previously.
They required extensive print material to be designed, a new website, and a lovely new logo... We were up to the challenge.
We began the Bliss Bridal engagement (get it?) with our standard initial discovery phase, designed to arrive at a brand analysis and to elicit useful information from the client about the brand, and the overall purpose of the project.
Bliss Bridal, a well-known retail store for women in the Okanagan Valley, had an already established reputation, but they also had some areas in which to overcome. They came to us with a vague vision of the website she wanted us to build, and some foreign words to our industry like "couture" and "high-fashion"... A rather abnormal request in the everyday life to Jason, our assigned designer (who normally likes to draw robots, and other nerdy things) but one he was VERY familiar with at the same time due to the amount of amazing designs coming out of the fashion industry being full of inspiration.
After a rather lengthy process with more options for logos then you could shake a stick at, we arrived at the forward facing identity that everyone was happy with. The new Bliss Bridal logo is timeless, elegant, and successfully sways from the rules of branding while at the same time following them... You would be hard pressed to find any design that boasts similarities, and that was the goal.
The Bliss Bridal website runs on our Zesti Media content management system that is accessible by chosen employees so they can update content, add dresses, and swap out pictures whenever they choose. This was one of the requirements and simple enough for us to execute flawlessly.
Since Bliss Bridal has relaunched their website, and shown their new image to the public they have flourished as a business... They were voted the top store in the valley at the Okanagan Bridal Expo, and have wowed their customers with everything they have to offer.
Of course we can't take all the credit for this, they do have fabulous consultants, uncanny service, and an inventory of the finest selection of dresses we've ever seen... Of course, we don't know the first thing about dresses, but we do know shiny!
